Check your email for the 2019 SEA Representatives Ballot on Survey Monkey. Voting will close this Friday 5/24 at 3pm.

Thank you to all who gave feedback on the ballot format. This was the best way to keep your voting choices anonymous while still limiting each member to one vote. We will use this format next year for the Executive Council elections as well. If you have more feedback, please let us know.

Contract Update

Update 3/25

The recount results confirmed the passage of the contract!  It’s official!  We did it!
543 YES to 540 NO
Congratulations SAU 21!!!

After a long week of waiting, the recount revealed a 3 vote margin of victory in Seabrook.  Clearly, every voted counted big time and while we don’t know which exact effort pushed us over the top in Seabrook we know that all the fundraising, phone calls, sign visibilities, postcards, stickers, website, flyers, and social media posts/ads made a difference in SAU 21!  You should all be so proud of this hard fought victory!  Thank you for all your efforts, folks!  Let’s do this again in 4 years.
Now we celebrate!!  Well done, SEA!!

The SAU 21 Teachers Contract, the SESPA contract and almost all of all of the school budgets passed this March!  🙌🙌🙌

A petition for a recount of the March 12th vote was filed in Seabrook today. The recount will take place on the afternoon of March 25th and the results of the recount will determine the passage of the SAU 21 teachers contract. We were expecting this and we’re prepared along with assistance from the district and NEA-NH. We will continue to update you as information becomes available. It seems our patience will have to last a little longer. Stay hopeful 🤞

Update: The teacher’s contract passed by a 2 vote margin yesterday on the Seabrook district ballot. We are still waiting for the official certification of the results. Official certification in Seabrook would mean that the contract is totally approved as it did very well in the other towns. Also, the numbers reported on Seabrook’s website this morning are NOT the results for the Seacoast Education Association contract, but a different employee union in Seabrook. We will update you as soon as we hear something. In the meantime thank you so much for your hard work and your patience -we know this is a trying situation for everyone.

Upcoming Deliberative Session Dates!

Below are the dates, times and places for the public hearing and deliberative sessions for both the school district budgets and the new Tentative Agreement (TA). Comments and questions will happen then and the budget committees will vote to recommend or not.  These recommendations are crucial as the vote tallies are included on the ballot and are quite influential.  Please attend your town’s deliberative session as a show of support for the tentative agreement!  See you there!
